My name is Sarabjit Kaur, an internationally educated Registered Nurse with professional nursing education and hospital experience. I created Brandednurses.com to support nurses who are navigating the challenges of education, licensing, and career growth—especially those transitioning into the Canadian healthcare system.
I strongly believe in the lifelong learning philosophy expressed by Florence Nightingale:
“Let us never consider ourselves finished nurses… we must be learning all of our lives.”
This principle guides both my professional journey and the educational content shared on this platform.
My Nursing Journey
I began my four-year Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2014, followed by clinical and hospital-based experience as a staff nurse. Like many nursing students and new nurses, my journey included significant challenges—academic pressure, demanding clinical responsibilities, emotional exhaustion, and moments of self-doubt.
Despite these challenges, I remained committed to nursing and continued to grow through perseverance, peer support, and self-motivation. These experiences helped me develop resilience and a deeper understanding of the realities nurses face during training and early professional practice.
Why I Created BrandedNurses.com
During my nursing education, structured guidance was limited. Much of our focus was on completing assignments, care plans, exams, clinical documentation, and hospital duties—often without clear long-term career direction.
BrandedNurses.com was created to fill this gap.
This platform provides clear, research-based, and experience-informed guidance to help nurses:
- Understand professional expectations early
- Prepare strategically for exams and licensing
- Avoid common mistakes during nursing education
- Transition confidently into professional nursing roles
Professional Development in Canada
As of November 2024, I am participating in the Supervised Practice Experience Partnership (SPEP) for Registered Nurses at The Ottawa Hospital.
This experience is strengthening my clinical practice and supporting my pathway toward nursing licensure in Canada.
My firsthand exposure to supervised practice and the Canadian healthcare environment allows me to provide practical, realistic insights to internationally educated nurses preparing for similar transitions.
My Mission
My mission is to empower nurses with knowledge, clarity, and confidence.
Nursing is not only a profession—it is a responsibility rooted in compassion, professionalism, and lifelong learning. Through BrandedNurses.com, I aim to help nurses make informed decisions, grow professionally, and recognize the value they bring to patient care and healthcare systems.
